The Brilliant Life Of Eudora Honeysett
by Annie Lyons

I liked this book, I did not love it. The plot was a little too predictable. The last 100 pages were better. The character development was good.

The Sunlit Night
by Rebecca Dinerstein Knight

The plot of this book was hard to follow at times because it jumped around a lot and I never felt fully invested in any of the characters. I did enjoy the description of Norway and the midnight sun of the summer months.

The River
by Peter Heller

Good friends, Jack and Wynn, make a canoe trip on a river in Northern Canada. They must contend with a wildfire. There is an arguing couple they hear one night and decide it's best to warn them of the impending danger. What follows? Well, all I will say is that what is touted to be a thriller for me was far from it. I thought the story was good but it did not grab me to the point where I couldn't put it down. At many points I was quite bored.

Little Monsters
by Adrienne Brodeur

This book had so many little monsters of the mind. Brother and sister making it through life without a mother and a negligent, bi-polar dad that gave them very little of his time. There were a lot of predictable plot lines yet I didn't mind. I accepted the characters as they were, including the minor characters such as daughters/nieces, old friend, and an unexpected half daughter. It may have all gone far afield but the story held my interest and as a distraction it was ok to read.

Not My Father's Son
by Alan Cumming

A memoir that went back to Alan Cumming's childhood and also about his relationship with his father. He was asked to be on a reality show and was investigating how his grandfather died.

Lucy By The Sea
by Elizabeth Strout

Another book in the series about Lucy. She and her ex husband William go to Maine to a house. Trying to stay safe from Covid.

Eliza Starts A Rumor
by Jane L. Rosen

Eliza has agoraphobia. Her children have gone off to college, and a major focus of her life is the local moms group that she runs on social media. She overhears some young mothers saying they prefer a new group, which discusses more "dirty" topics, such as what to do when your husband has erectile dysfunction. To keep her thread up-to-date, Eliza invents a post about an affair. People in the town think she is talking about them or their spouses, and it has far-reaching ramifications. Each chapter of this book focuses on one of 4 women and their various lives, which eventually come together.

Happiness
by Danielle Steel

Happiness is an uplifting, page-turner novel about love, friendship, and the choices one makes for happiness. The main character, Sabrina, inherits a grand estate near London. The question is will Sabrina choose to keep her estate or sell it? Where does her happiness lie? There is also a magnetic attraction to the attorney who handles the estate. Will Sabrina choose to be with him who lied to her or not? Where does her happiness lie? Happiness is a choice.

On Fire Island
by Jane L. Rosen

A poignant and funny story told by Julia from the afterlife. Loved the cast of characters and can't wait to meet the author!
